FAQs
Are headphones permitted on the course?
No. The Conwy Half Marathon adheres with UKA guidance: for races using open or partly open roads, all headphones (with the exception of bone-conducting headphones) or similar devices (unless for medical purposes) are not permitted. Unfortunately any competitor caught using headphones will be disqualified from the event.

Is there a cut off time?
Although we ask all runner to keep to a minimum pace of 12-15 minute miles (which would take between 3-3:30 hours to complete the course), if you are running slower than this you still will be able to finish. However, when directed to do so you will need to run on pavements and run as a pedestrian obeying all signals and the highway code. We cannot guarantee volunteer marshals will continue to be on course and therefore it is your responsibility to look at the route and follow the course signs.

Is this a closed road event?
The majority of the course is closed road, however it is important to note that the Great Orme is open to traffic. It is therefore very important to listen to marshals instructions as vehicles have the right of way. When crossing a road please listen to marshal instructions on crossing points and keep on the Left at all times unless instructed different.

Fantastic course, nice atmosphere around the course. and friendly stewards. Atmosphere was good before the race, but underwhelming at the finish line, with runners herded away after finishing to the bag reclaim area where there were no music or announcements. PA system could only be heard within a few meters of the start/finish line. Nothing but water at the end (all similarly priced half's I've done have had some kind of snacks). Most frustrating thing was there seemed to be no way to access your official time after finishing. The official website is no help and at the time of writing this (7pm on the evening of the race) isn't working at all. Really expect better as an official time is one of my main reasons for doing these.Conclusion. Beautiful and challenging course, race itself went without a hitch. Poor value on the extras considering the price.
Fantastic course, amazingly well organised, Stephen in the mic,on the ball as always, thanks for your finish line comments , perfect race 5th time I've done it and I'll be back next year representative of Eryri Harrier's as always, fantastic atmosphere, beautiful medal.
Brilliant race. Lots of support along the way. We had great weather too! Do plenty of work on your hills to prepare you for the challenge of miles 6 and 7 going up the Great Orme!
Enjoyed it. Missed last year due to flu, but ran the previous 2 years 2015/2016.
