I enjoyed it but most was packed away by the time I finished. There’s not a single picture of me despite seeing the photographer. I emailed and asked for details on more pictures and nobody replied to me. This alone is preventing me from rebooking with you- please can someone respond to this?

I’ve done the Notgrove course on a previous occasion so know it’s a lovely course, but unfortunately this time it was moved from Westonbirt Arboretum at short notice and no refunds were available from the organiser, Tough Runner. I was unable to attend due to the extra distance (about 80 miles all round) I needed to travel. Organisation therefore rated low🙁

You took my money, changed the venue then wouldn’t issue a refund

Westonbirt would have been far more convenient, which was the venue when I entered. Too muddy. Race pack said nothing about mud or trail shoes. Race pack suggested 30 mins drive from Bristol - it is over an hour. No emergency contact number given for the bike ride. Signage on run was dodgy in one location. Marshals were excellent.

Run course was so boggy it was almost unsafe in places. People also got lost so would’ve been good to have more marshalls. Also didn’t get any indication that it was a trail run, but luckily someone I knew asked in advance. Transition was also ridiculously boggy and you had to run through mud with your bike to get to the road.

In spite of the registration not starting on time, it was a well organized event overall. Marshalls and all other staff were super enthusiastic and supportive. Though the weather conditions are out of the organizer's control, the choice of the running course was very poor mainly due to it being extremely waterlogged. The cycling route could have been better signposted, specifically on crossroads. Also, organizers could have put more effort into making passing drivers aware of the event, if not had the road completely cordoned off. I was disappointed by the lack of filling stations (i.e., mid-cycling part), the limited choice of refreshments as well as the finite amount of complimentary items; value for money 2/10 :(

Tough conditions with the persistent rain and very muddy/wet trail sections, would suggest moving the event to late spring based on the course! Large number that pre-registered didn't show up, presumably due to the weather.
