Set in the wilderness of the Northumbrian border lands, this event is designed to test both the body and the mind. The route consists of a single 31 mile lap that strings together all the best bits of Kielder. This route is carefully designed to utilise the superb purpose built trails.

By Car
Kielder is a small village in the remote north of Northumberland a stones throw from the Scottish border. The event is held at Kielder castle which can be found at the postcode NE48 1ER.
Parking
There are a number of Forestry Commission car parks near to the castle with ample amounts of space. Remember to pay and display as vehicles do get checked by FC staff. If you are staying on Kielder campsite then you’re already parked and a stones throw away from the castle.

Bag Drop
You will be given the chance to fill a bag and leave it in the feed zone at the start/finish area. We want to absolutely minimise any contact for a marshal to interact with you so make sure you know where you put it. We will have number markers out to to aid placement.

Chip Timing
Timing chips come in the form of a small sticker that goes on the left hand side of your helmet and try to avoid any lettering or carbon to ensure the best possible read rate.
Feed Stations
There will be a feed station at the start/finish area, which is where you can leave your bag with your own choice of snacks. Water will be available here.
There will be another feed station at the 20mile/32k mark.
Toilets
There are public toilets opposite Kielder Castle. Given the increased numbers it might be a good idea to have some of your own supplies if you’re going in.
