Route information

10k
The 10k route takes participants out of Ely and towards Barway where they will drift initially through a downhill section.
Next, participants will follow the River Great Ouse and snake their way back towards the starting line, tackling a sharp hill at the 9.2k mark.
Half Marathon
The Half Marathon course sends participants into Little Thetford and Barway as they weave through the countryside and alongside the Kingfishers Bridge Nature Reserve.
There's a turnaround point at the 10.5k mark where runners will retrace their steps back towards the finishing line.
Marathon
The Marathon course sends participants out of Ely, through Barway and Wicken on the way to Swaffham Prior. There is a turnaround point at 21.1k where runners will then retrace their steps back to the starting area.
Ultra Marathon
The Ultra course sends runners out of Ely, through Barway, Wicken Fen, towards Lode, across to Waterbeach and along the river Cam all the way to the half way point in Cambridge, where support and fuel will be waiting. Please note the turn point (33km) needs to be hit by 12 Noon, there are then further cut off times and checkpoints for the return leg. The race needs to be completed by 4:30pm. Take the A10 into Ely and continue to follow signs for Ely Cathedral, located just off the High Street.

Event day logistics

Age Requirements
You must be 20 years old to enter the Ultra, 18 years old to enter the Marathon and 16 years old to enter the 10k or Half Marathon.
Cut-off times
Ultra Marathon
There is a 12 Noon cut-off time for the halfway stage of the Ultra. The following cut-off times for the return leg must also be met:
Runners must hit the Marathon turn point by 13:15, the Half Marathon turn point by 14:30, and the 10k turn point by 15:45. The finish cut-off is at 16:30. These cut off times will be checked by a tail bike marshal that will follow the last runner.
There are no cut-off times for the other distances.
Event Rules
The event is sanctioned by and run under the UK Athletics and Trail Running Association rules.

There will be aid stations located on the courses.
