Headphones
It is strongly advised that participants do not wear headphones for this event, as the wearing of such an item can lead to runners missing important instructions from marshals. It is also in the interest of the entrant's safety not to use headphones as it can reduce their alertness to potential danger, e.g. traffic.

It is advised to wear suitable trainers for multi-terrain surfaces (trail runners shoes).
Spectator Info
Spectators are very welcome to come and watch this event. There are several spots along the course which are particularly suitable, including a couple of pubs along the route. West Park itself provides great opportunity to encourage runners over the last mile of their run. We ask that spectators do not crowd the towpaths or bridges on the route as this causes more congestion for the competitors.
