Spectator Info
Spectators are very welcome to come and watch this event. There are several spots along the course which are particularly suitable, including a couple of pubs along the route. West Park itself provides great opportunity to encourage runners over the last mile of their run. We ask that spectators do not crowd the towpaths or bridges on the route as this causes more congestion for the competitors.

Thoroughly enjoyed this race, absolutely lovely (flat) course from beginning to end, this was well organised, water stations every 3 miles with great people, my first half and I’m really not fast (pretty much last) but felt just as important as the fast runners and so glad I did it! Thank you stuweb!

The experience was actually very good and very socialable but it's a shame that this was a very reduced attendance race.

I think sending out the bibs in the post before race day would be the best option. Unsure why we had to collect at the finish, yes you can get on the coach to the start but there was a bag collection also. Some points had no signage, luckily I had family following me so I was ok to keep on track, they needed more volunteers. Course is flat and like races on a Saturday. Good goodie bag and medal.

Sadly only 47 runners on what was a nice run along the picturesque canal side, with very little problem passing other users of the towpath!
