The Festive Forest Challenge is held in the Kings Forest, just 4 miles outside Bury St Edmunds, easily accessible from East Anglia, London & the East Midlands. This popular event is now in its seventh year. It is run on good traffic-free tracks.
This event has been authorised by the Forestry Commission.

Suitable for: Everyone! Runners, Walkers & Nordic Walkers all welcome.

Festive Forest Challenge routes
Everyone will complete the first circuit (10km), half-marathoners and 20 milers will then complete a different circuit, after which the 20 milers repeat the second circuit. All courses will be clearly marked
The course is off-road* and traffic free using footpaths and tracks in the forest
*at the end of each lap participants will cross the road back into West Stow Country Park. This is the only road crossing and will be marshalled
The surfaces are generally good and suitable for normal road shoes
The course has not been measured by a UKA approved course measurer, therefore the distances are approximate
First aiders will be present at the start/finish and along the course. If you develop medical problems, please alert the nearest marshal and prompt assistance will be provided
