Forest of Light Run:8:30pm
The course will kick-off from the main event field at High Lodge, before taking runners along the wide, tree-lined lanes within the forest. For the race, the course will have been turned into an enchanted forest with an epic lighting display. Bright lights will illuminate the incredible forest features as well as some zones being left dark creating a thrilling experience.
The course itself is a well marked and marshalled 3k trail loop with a variety of terrain and a water station at the start/finish line. Runners are aiming to complete as many laps as they can within 2 hours and you must have started your final lap before the 2 hours ends at 22:30.
Please note, you can stop whenever you like during the race and do not have to run continuously. All runners completing 1 lap or more will win a finisher's medal.

How to get there

Sherwood Pines is situated just east of Mansfield and is accessed via either the A1 or the M1.
Parking onsite will be available to all runners, all day for £3.
The venue is not easily accessed by train, Mansfield Woodhouse is the closest station, approximately 6 miles away.

At registration you will receive your race number and your timing tag. Please bring the QR code that is emailed to you when you enter.
Your race number must be clearly displayed on your front, and your timing tag must be securely attached to your shoe laces.
The race is only available to runners 6 years and older on the day of the race. Any runners under the age of 16 on race day can select Junior Entry for a reduced cost.
There will be a key drop at registration. Your car should be parked near-by, and you are requested to leave your bags in your car. If you have nowhere else to leave your bag it can be left at the Key Drop.
All runners must bring a head torch to help them through the dark sections.

Spectators are welcome and are requested to only stay within the start area so the running route can be clear of additional obstacles. High Lodge is a family venue and therefore there are many activities to keep you interested throughout the day.

No, runners can stop at anytime during the 2 hour time slot.
When do I get my race number for the Forest of Light Run Sherwood Pines?
You will receive your race number and timing chip on race day when you register.
Will there be a bag drop at the Forest of Light Run Sherwood Pines?
There will not be a bag drop but there will be a key drop. Competitors are asked to leave their bags in their cars. If you have nowhere to put your bag you can leave it at the key drop.
Is there a race briefing at the Forest of Light Run Sherwood Pines?
A briefing will take place at 20:15 near the start/finish line. All competitors must attend and any queries about the event must be raised at this time with the Event Director.
Where do I find the results for the Forest of Light Run Sherwood Pines?
Full results will available at www.chiptiminguk.co.uk on the following day. Trophies will be posted out to the runners with the most laps for female and male seniors, and female and male juniors.
