Parking was nightmare, no photos or time at end and most def not a flat course

As a first event, some hiccups were to be expected; however, it was an enjoyable race all the same! Better traffic management for parking would have made a big difference, as well as more portaloos, as both things ended up delaying the start of the race. A better description of the course would also have been beneficial - we ran through a pretty technical route, the field was treacherous terrain, and most runners wore road running shoes which due to the mud were not a good choice. Trail running shoes should have been recommended even if it had been a dry day. Also, I think most runners found that the distance was significantly under 10k. And perhaps it could be noted in the event description that the event is more of a fun run rather than a competitive event, as people were asking about prizes and podium finishes. However, the route was very well marked, well marshalled, the people on site were really friendly and helpful, and a massive shout out to the MC who made the whole event fun and engaging! Really big kudos on the vegan snack bars also, as well as the ecofriendly cups and medals!

Echo what has been said before - greater emphasis should have been made of the trail nature of this course and the need for trail shoes. Running round two fields twice isn't my idea of fun or an actual route - bit lame really. Measured short, mediocre medal made up for by the pin badge. Some children far too young to be out there on their own - safety concerns there. Car parking wasn't ideal but the weather had a lot to do with that. Probably won't do this one again as I'd prefer a 10k loop not 2 x 5k loops, and certainly not round two fields twice!

Organisers need walks talkies, car got stuck in field, left to other car owners to get others out of field, got help from other car owners. Member of public gave advice to steward on car parking second line, this sped up parking, children policy required when running, kids detached from parents, commentator was very good. Course, too lumpy in field for enjoyable field section

I thought in general the event was good but it was let down by one major problem: the course distance was to short! I, and a lot of my fellow runner's, ran the 10k. Everyone of us were short of the 10k distance by quite a large distance! This was really disappointing, especially for a paid event. You really need to make sure the course distance is accurate.

Re 5k- late in starting and did not enjoy meeting and passing 10k runners. I (and a lot of others) missed a red arrow where an ambulance was sitting and therefore my timing for a 5k was wrong.

Great course - but needs more detail pre- event to ensure correct footwear decisions. Bottle neck at car park entrance/exit. Excellent marshals and route signage. Excellent PA announcer. Excellent race timing system. Great registration team. Excellent venue. Additional venue signage needed on road entrances. Great first event - well done and thank you!

On the whole a good event and would do it again.Route came up slightly short for me at 2.99 miles but my husband and several friends apparently missed the marker to send them round the field at .67 mile so they were considerably short. Not a major issue for us as we just run for fun but the club runners may have been annoyed if they did the same.

Very wet and muddy due to weather, I don’t think it was clear enough on the entry that it was a trail race so I’m sure I’m not the only one that wasn’t really prepared for it! 10km course was definitely short. The organisation could have been better - car parking wasn’t very well organised at all, needed a lot more toilets as the queues were bad, I didn’t see any catering either? With improvements in organisation I’d do the run again

Nice run, other than i prefer one 10k lap rather than 2 5k laps.
