Take on this 10 mile loop around picturesque grass trails throughout ancient woodlands, limestone tracks, and quiet roads. The fully-marked course is undulating throughout, this is ideal for all looking to step up to a longer distance.

The closest train station to Grimsthorpe Castle Park & Gardens is Stamford (Lincs), from there you can take the bus to Grimsthrope Castle.
By Car
Grimsthorpe Castle is located just off of the A1 just past Corby Glen towards Bourne.
Event day logistics
Saturday
07:00am: 100 and 70 Miler (solo & team) starts. 28 hours time limit.
08:00am: 40 Miler (solo and team) starts. 27 hours time limit.
10:00am: 10 Miler day starts
21:00pm: 10 Miler night starts
Sunday
11:00am (Sunday): 100, 70 & 40 Miler races cut-off time
Race Rules
- Runners must follow the marked course at all times
- Your bib number must be worn on your front at all times
- Runners must not stash food/supplies on the course
- If you are caught littering you will be disqualified
- Runners are responsible for the actions of their pacers
- Pacers are permitted only for the 50 mile course and must be on foot
- Runners are only allowed one pacer at one time
- Runners must carry mandatory equipment with them at all times
- Runners are not permitted to run with dogs. You may walk and start at the back of the
- You must comply with all instructions given at the race briefing
- If you are unable to finish the race you must inform the race directors
- Walking poles are allowed
Team Entry
There is the option to enter the 40 and 100 mile distances as a team, where runners can take part relay style with friends. For the 40 miler teams can have a maximum of 4 per team, and for the 100 miler teams can have a maximum of 5 people. This is the perfect way to get into longer distances, and you get to take part with friends.
Withdrawals
If you need to withdraw for any reason, unfortunately, the event organiser is unable to offer a refund. However, you can defer your place to 2026 up to 4-weeks prior to the race.
If you would like to transfer your place to another runner, please email hello@bogdogrunning.co.uk with the runner's name, address, date of birth, gender and any medical information. Transfers after May 3 will incur a £5 admin fee.
Mandatory Kit List (Ultra-distances)
- Fully charged mobile phone, with mobile numbers of the Race Medic and Race Directors.
- Survival Blanket
- Headtorch/primary light source
- Back-up light source
- Spare Long-sleeved baselayer
- Waterproof jacket
- Water bladder/vest/bottle capable of carrying a minimum of 1 litre of water
- Cup (this is a cupless race)
Kit checks will be made upon registration. If you forget anything you will be able to buy it from the running shop.
