The ultimate weekend exploring the trails and relaxing and rejuvenating at the halfway point.

This epic route will take runners through hilly woodlands and breathtaking moorlands of Northumberland National Park. You'll be running side by side with nature as you follow the trail to basecamp along the River Coquet.
Refreshed from a nights sleep, runners will spend most of the day running by the coastline, navigating sandy trails all the way to the finish line in Bamburgh. Relax and enjoy the celebrations after rewarding weekend of running.
NON-STOP:
The non-stop route will take participants through the least populated of the UK’s National Parks.

Northumberland National park boasts the cleanest rivers and clearest air along with some of the most breathtaking scenery in England. The route winds across stunning moorland and through ancient woodland to the coast, where you will be greeted by charming seaside towns on your way to the iconic Bamburgh Castle.
DAY 1:
Route: Kirkharle to Basecamp

Spend your Saturday morning with hundreds of fellow trail runners diving straight into woodland hills, moorlands and experiencing the endless beauty that is Northumberland National Park.
Twisting and turning with the River Coquet, you'll hit basecamp before you know it, and be greeted with food, bars, and a buzzing atmosphere. A great mix of a rewarding day of trail running and a fun social afternoon, there is no greater feeling.
DAY 2:
Route: Basecamp to Bamburgh Castle
Distance: 50km
Distance: 50km
Start your Sunday morning bright and early from basecamp and wind along the river all the way to the Northern coastline. Running along sandy trails, and with fresh sea air to breathe in, this 50km route will feel like a breeze!
Finish up your run at Bamburgh Castle where festivities and celebrations await you.

This MUST be pre-booked and all permits visible on the dashboard on the day.
There will be a drop-off zone where your friends and family can drop you off for the event. They are able to wait and watch you start provided they are no longer than 30 minutes.
Please make sure that they are considerate to other participants being dropped off if they choose to leave their car and watch you start.

If you are travelling from overseas, you will not receive your pack in the post and you will need to pick it up from the registration desk on the day.

Cheering fans are encouraged! The route is open to all, however please note that the pit stops will be closed off to prevent overcrowding.
FAQs
Is there an age requirement to compete?
Participants must be 18 or over to enter.
Will my bags be transported for me?
Bags will be transported for you from the start to your final destination each day. You’ll just drop bags in the morning and it will be there for you to pick them up at the other end. It's advised that you carry a small rucksack with you.
Will there be camping available?
Your tent will be pitched ready and waiting for you when you arrive at basecamp but you will need to bring your own sleeping bag. Tents are 2 man pop up tents (allocated one per person). You are not permitted to provide your own tent and camp on site.
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs (aside from assistance dogs) are not permitted on the route as part of the event, due to the volume of people on the trail and the challenging nature of the course.
