Route information
This out and back race takes runners on a journey along the Longdendale Trail. This disused railway provides runners with good terrain, creating a great opportunity to push for a personal best time. When you finally reach the end of the trail near the Woodhead Tunnel, you will turn back and return along the same pathway towards the finishing line. The course will have distance markers every mile and there will be a water station around halfway and one at the finish.

I found this tough, although the course was a familiar one, but the event was very well organised and the atmosphere was great. Thanks to all the organisers and to the boys of Hollingworth Juniors for helping with the parking.

The organisation was excellent. Parking was easy. The announcer was really clear about what to do and when. Stalls were really good and I particularly liked the Waffles on sticks. Course was safe and Marshall’s were lovely. Plenty of water on what was a warm day. Would recommend .

I really enjoyed the race, the only issue I have the course was not accurate it was well over 13 miles by approximately 1/2 a mile more there was quite a lot of runners who said the same thing but besides thatWell done 👍.
