The Ilkley Half Marathon is a closed road, chip-timed race, following a delightful route through picturesque Yorkshire towns and villages and beautiful countryside. The route will be mildly undulating with a few steep hills, so come along for the challenge or to try your first half marathon!

Route information
This half marathon returns in 2024, offering runners an opportunity to run a 13.1-mile road race through the beautiful West Yorkshire countryside around Ilkley. Expect amazing scenery of the Yorkshire Dales and a couple of hill climbs to keep you on your toes. Ideal for both half marathon first-timers and more experienced runners, this is the perfect summer race.
The route is mildly undulating throughout, apart from a short, steep hill around 2 miles and another one at about 11 miles in. The course will be clearly marked and will have water stations and medical support available throughout.
Their Traffic Management Partners will ensure that you are kept safe throughout the race, closing the route to traffic and keeping the hoards of enthusiastic fans back from their heroes.

Parking will be available from 07:00 on race day. The race car park is on East Holmes field and will be free of charge. The organisers would appreciate a donation of £3 which will go to charity.
