Murder Mystery Run

In teams of two, three or four members you have been tasked with solving the murder of Lady Brightside.

At 7pm you will be provided with the locations around Oswestry of 7 clues. You will then have thirty minutes in your team to create a route to go and collect the clues as a group. Once you have collected your clues, you will then as a group run back to the start and provide the detective with your answer and hopefully lock up the criminal who did this dastardly deed!

Shortest route will be 10km, longest will be down to your effective planning and teamwork!

Once you have finished there will be choice of refreshments and a finishers prize for all runners with overall prizes for the most effective sleuths!

You will be provided with a back story for the mystery prior to the evening via email with key information regarding each of the suspects and the crime itself!

Please come prepared for the conditions expected at this time of year. We strongly recommend bringing a suitable headtorch and wearing appropriate clothing for the weather. While some clues may require short sections of off-road running, the route is suitable for standard road running shoes. However, trail shoes may provide additional grip if conditions are wet or muddy.

This is a self-navigation event, and route planning is part of the challenge. Teams are responsible for selecting their own route between clues. There are no planned hazardous sections, but all participants must use public roads, footpaths, bridleways and designated public rights of way.

Please do not:

• Cross private land or gardens.

• Climb fences, walls or gates.

• Take shortcuts through private property in an attempt to reduce the distance.

Respect local residents, other trail users and the countryside at all times.

Before the event, please save the Race Director's mobile number in your phone. In the event of an emergency, injury or if you need to withdraw from the event, contact the Race Director as soon as it is safe to do so.

Your safety is our priority. If you encounter another participant who requires immediate assistance, please stop to help where appropriate before continuing with the event.
