NCPD Police Officer Memorial 5K Run

Every stride we take echoes the valiant heartbeat of heroes we'll never forget. Born from the legacy of Officer Gary R. Farley, the Nassau County Police Department Police Officer Memorial Run is a sanctified tradition, honoring the brave who sacrificed everything in the line of duty. Since the tragic events of 2011, this 5K race has expanded its tribute to a roll call of guardians: Officers Califano, Breitkopf, Cole Jr., Olivieri Jr., Lopez, Martino, Lt. Shea, Palermo Jr., McCabe, and Abbondandelo, whose valor inspires us to run with purpose. Our footsteps pave the path toward the future, as scholarships are awarded to high school seniors with a passion for running—a poignant dedication to the schools and families of these fallen officers.
