Route information
Explore the stunning Putteridge Bury Estate, with its neo-Elizabethan manor house, and the surrounding countryside with this 50k ultra. The hilly route weaves through the country, with highlights including Warden Hill and Barton & Pegsdon Hills.
From the event base at Putteridge Bury, runners follow the Chiltern Way towards Lilley and out to Warden and Barton Hills. After leaving CP1, the first big climb awaits. Once successfully navigated, a lovely undulating section to CP2 follows that will give runners a bit of rest-bite.
Out of CP2 runners explore Pegsdon Hills and along to Offley. The last 12k to the finish is a mini rollercoaster with three small hills to get up and down.
Overall the terrain keeps the running varied and it doesn't ever feel like your doing too much of one thing. Additionally, you will be perfectly distracted by the stunning views that surround you.

- CP1: Arnold Rec, Barton (14.7k)
- CP2: The View (29.6k)
- CP3: Offley Village Hall (39k)

Get full directionsBy Car
Take the M1 and follow towards Luton, go through the city and turn onto Hitchin Road.
Follow until Putteridge Road, continue onto Beech Hill and turn onto Lilley Btm. Find the starting area at Mangrove Green.
