It was as a perfect event as a training run for the GNR. Not too busy, the organisation was good and everyone was friendly.

The course was a bit boring. Running two loops of the same course around cones and having to negotiate the faster runners and also walkers coming the other way was not good

Some of the mile markers weren’t in the right place, there was only 2 water stations even though they said there would be 3, and for me running the same circuit twice made it harder

Fairly flat nice for a longer run. Organisation wasn't the best, runners standing around not 100% sure where the start line was and no officials turned up at the start line until a minute or two before when the race was supposed to begin. Other than that there was plenty of officials around the course guiding you around to make sure you don't lose your way.

More on the basic side of events, better to be used as a training run as quite a boring route

A very grassroots race (this isn't a complaint!). Course was hilly and I made the mistake of thinking it would be more "traily". Road shoes would have been fine as the gravel paths are very compact - totally my own fault 🙂 Start/finish were quiet as over the hill from the park but well worth the money.
