Enjoy a family day out this summer at Run Winchcombe. With a 10k, 5k and 1k Children's Race on offer, there's something for the whole family here. Run in the grounds of Sudeley Castle and soak up the areas history whilst supporting the local community. Route information
Each route takes entrants around the grounds of Sudeley Castle, a fantastic backdrop at this race. The Children's 1k race takes in a lap of the grassy field behind the castle.
The 5k route also takes in the undulating field behind the castle before heading along a single-track lane and finishing back down the main drive of the castle.
Predominantly a trail event, the 10k heads up to the historic ancient burial ground of Belas Knap, starting and finishing at Sudeley Castle.

Age Requirements
Entrants must be the following ages to enter each event:
- Children's 1k: Entrants must be under 11
- 5k: Entrants must be 11 and over
- 10k: Entrants must be 16 and over
Children's 1k
There will be a 1k Children's race at the event in which children under 11 can enter. The race will be split into two, one for kids under 7, and the other for kids between 7-10 years old.

Yes there is free parking in Sudeley Castle main carpark

How old do I have to be to enter Run Winchcombe?
Entrants must be 16 or over to enter the 10K, 11 or over to to enter the 5K and under 11 to enter the Children's 1K
What time do the 5K/10K races start?
The 10K starts at 10am and the 5K starts at 10.30am
Can I run with my dog?
Whilst we love dogs, we don't allow runners with dogs
Are there any refreshments?
Sudeley Castle has a cafe that you can access without needing to pay entry to the castle although it will not be know until nearer to the time if it is open on the day or the times of opening
Do I get free entry to the castle?
Unfortunately no (unless you're a member of Historic Houses)
Can I run with my child doing the 1K?
Of course!
Is the event being timed?
The organisers are currently trying to find someone who can help us with timing as our normal providers, Lush Race Timing, are unavailable this year. We will update you on this in due course.
Can I run with a buggy?
The 5K has one lap of an undulating field which can get muddy before then being on a single track road. Participants would need to have a suitable buggy. The 10K is a steep climb with a narrow track and would not be suitable for a buggy
