Terrain: Road Elevation: Flat

Enjoy the beautiful countryside in this flat and fast closed road half marathon along the rural roads of stunning Cheshire. The race starts and ends outside the beautiful Capesthorne Hall, the gardens of which are among the finest in Britain. Runners will take one large lap for this half marathon course.

Get full directions

By Car

Capesthorne Hall is 15 miles south of Manchester down the A34 and a short distance past the east-west A537 Knutsford to Macclesfield Road.

It is 30 miles east of Chester. Turn right from the A537 on to the A34 and 20 miles north of Stoke on Trent off the A34.

There is plenty of car parking on site. If planning to arrive by car, please make sure that you arrive before 8am so that our team can get everyone parked up quickly and efficiently.

By Train

5 miles to Macclesfield and just 2 hours from London Euston.

5 miles to Wilmslow where the Express to London Euston takes just 2 hours and five minutes.

15 miles to Crewe and extensive national rail connections.

Registration

The event village and registration will be at Capesthorn Hall.

Please ensure you arrive in plenty of time in order to complete the registration process and warm up.

Race Pack

Race Packs must be collected on the day of the event, before the start of your race, from registration. Please be aware that you will not receive anything in the post.

Age Restrictions

This event is open to runners aged 17 and over.

Refreshments

There will be water stations at regular intervals around the course as well as at the finish where post-run goodies will be waiting for finishers.

Headphones

It is not recommended that you wear headphones during the race so you stay alert to what is going on around you and hear the encouragement from marshals and spectators.
