Come and smash the first run in the Ultimate Run Series. With the breathtaking trails of Sherwood Pines as the backdrop for this event, come and take on a 5 or 10k. There will be winding forest paths and plenty of fast sections to have you racing over the finish line.

Route information
The race takes place at Sherwood Pines, Nottingham on Sunday 29th June. There will be a mass group warm up before you take to the starting line. Each distance will set off separately and runners will be called to the start line by an official MC.
Runners will take on the rugged terrain of this hidden forest. With a variety of long downhills and straight runs, you’ll get into a strong constant tempo that will push you to the finish line.
The courses are signposted and well marshalled and cover stunning views of the forest. As this is a trail run, runners can potentially expect mixed terrain, hills, loose surfaces and exposed tree roots – all adding to the thrill of the chase.
On the day you can collect your race pack including race number and timing chip at the registration tent set within the charity village. Registration opens at 8.30am. Please note the mini miler will not be chip timed.
Race times are as follows:
09:30am - 16km / 09:45 - 10km / 10:00 - 5km / 10:05 - Mini Miler
You must be 16 or older for the 16km. Those 15 and over can take on the 10k and 14 or over to sign up for the 5k. The mini-miler is open to ages 3 and over, or younger infants in running buggies.

In agreement with Forestry England, discounted parking will be available at the race start. The cost will be £3 and you will be sent a code before race day to get your on-the-day parking discount.
Event day logistics

Bag drop
There will be a bag drop for all participants to make use of during the event. This will be located at the start line.
Event photography
There will be event photography available for all participants, make sure to bring your game face. All photos will be provided free of charge.
Charity
This event is organised by Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation and all profits from the race along with any additional sponsorship money raised will be used to support all those affected by lung cancer.
FAQs
Can I run with my dog at the Smash Sherwood?
We do allow dogs but we insist on all dogs being kept on a short lead and politely request that you start at back.
Will there be parking at the Smash Sherwood?
Yes, discounted parking will be available. A small charge will still apply.
