Route information
Terrain Gravel, off-road, and forest paths
Route Type Loop
Starting in beautiful Llanrwst and after a short 4k flat section to get the legs warmed up, you'll hit a 4.5k off road climb. On the climb, you will head into the heart of the Gwydyr Forest and hit smooth gravel that makes up most of the ride. The climbs weaves between two lakes with some spectacular scenes.
Heading south, the short route splits off after 23k and one more off road climb and the long route adds the first extra loop with a big 4k climb. As the routes re-join, ride through forest tracks following the river east before the long route heads out again for a gnarly 23km loop including a long 6k climb.
The last 20k includes two last climbs and a quick descent back to base. There is lovely variety on the route from dark forest tracks, gravel roads past lakes and some sweeping mountainous sections.

There will be feed stops approx every 30kms with fruit, cakes, coke, water, hydration tabs & tasty ride nutrition from the experts at Outdoor Provisions.

There are refreshments for you to enjoy after the race.

There will be toilets available at race village.

Focus just the stunning views & thrilling ride. The route is marked out all the way & you can check your time for the route at the end.

At all feed stops, there will be first aiders & mechanics.
