Route information

Quarter Marathon
This race is perfect for all beginners. This 7 mile race will take you out onto some beautiful trails around the Cotswolds. You head across the common towards Amberley, through ST Chloe Woods before reaching Rodborough Fort and will have the opportunity to embrace its architectural beauty. From there you will descend via the woodland trails, heading under the viaduct along the towpath towards and back up onto Minchinhampton common to the finish. There is one checkpoint along this route at approx 4.3miles.
Half Marathon
The Half Marathon trail race follows the Quarter to the checkpoint, before heading out on the towpath towards Stonehouse and then ascend Selsey Common, from there racers will dive into the Pen Woods. At the summit take in the fantastic views of the Stroud Valley as you look out towards the Severn Estuary and Forest of Dean. Then descending into Woodchester followed by a final climb up on the Minchinhampton common to the finish.
Marathon
This trail marathon will be great for those who love to embrace nature. You will explore the Toadsmoor Valley where you can experience lakes, woodlands, and the true hidden gems of the Cotswolds. There will be some ascents, you will go across the Heavens before descending via Dry Hill Wood. After the woods, this marathon route returns to Minchinhmampton and then follows the the half marathon route

There is no specific car park for this event. There are 30 spaces at the school, but the rest of the parking is street parking.

Race Packs
Race packs must be collected from Race HQ on the day.
Age Requirements
  • Marathon must be 18 years or older to participate
  • Half Marathon: Entrants must be 17 years or older to participate
  • Quarter Marathon: Entrants must be 15 years or older to participate
Kit List
This race is off-road so make sure to wear appropriate clothing and trail shoes. A reusable cup must be carried with you for the duration of the event.
Toilets
There are portable toilets in the School Car Park by Race HQ. Additional public toilets available 100m away from Race HQ. Please do not use the church toilets or you will be disqualified from the race if found using these toilets.
Bag Drop
There will be an unsupervised bag drop inside the School Hall, all baggage is left at your own risk.
For Marathon:
You can leave items at the Start/Finish line, which is also once a checkpoint for marathon runners.
