The triathlon will then finish with a trail run through the remarkable pine forests and then over the dunes for the beach finish.
Entrants can choose from a multitude of Triathlons such as Super Sprint, Sprint, Standard, Legend, or Savage.
The Sandman Savage
The Sandman Savage will take place over Saturday and Sunday. Entrants will compete in the sprint triathlon on Saturday and the Standard triathlon events on Sunday.
The Duathlon races will consist of two running legs and one cycling leg. The first run will take you into the beautiful trails of the Newborough forest, then onto a sandy track for a blissful run along the beach.
On the bike route, you will be kept on your toes with some climbs, sweeping bends and descents.
Finally, entrants will jump off their bike to finish off the duathlon with one last push on foot to the finish.

Wonderful event. Would definitely recommend
Did the race in 2022
First triathlon, really enjoyed it and loved the course and atmosphere, beautiful and friendly. Only thing I'd say is that for first timers like me it was a bit confusing where to go and what I'd need. A kit list, training tips and what to expect on the day a couple of months in advance would have been super helpful. Also explanation of the timings and interpretation of final results list (what does the 'gap time' mean?) would be great
