Route information

Both runs will set off from Taunton Rugby Club, joining the picturesque canal towards Taunton. You will then join the river Tone for a short loop before linking back on to the canal.

The 10K Route is roughly 50% canal paths and 50% river paths which are both very flat and has easy to navigate terrain making this a great run if it's your first 10K, you're new to trail running or you want to put in a PB time.

The Half marathon distance route is similar to the 10k but will include an extra 5K out and back along the canal heading towards Bridgewater. The course is roughly 70% canal paths and 30% river paths and is very flat.

There will be a feed station on the Half Marathon route at approximately half way. This will be stocked with all the goodies you can possibly imagine to fuel the rest of your journey.

Parking

There will be parking available on site, approximately 750 spaces.

By Train

Taunton station is the closest train station to the event venue, located 2.2 miles away. Those travelling by train could pack light and use this distance to warm up for the event.

Alternatively, ride the number 12 (towards Monkton Heathfield) from the bus stop 'Taunton Station South Side', and then ride for 12 stops, alighting at the stop named 'Bishops Close'. Taunton Rugby Club is then a 10 minute walk away.

Age Restrictions

All entrants under 18 years of age or who are members of school or youth groups must be supervised by adults (over 16 years of age) in a ratio of at least 1 to 3.

Feed Stations
