The Brecon Beacons Trail Running challenge will take you on some of the most picturesque trails that Wales has to offer. You will head out onto the Taff Trail and around Talybont reservoir. Whilst you race take in the amazing views of the peak of Pen-y-Fan. This event is canicross friendly for the Half Marathon and 11k, so you are welcome to bring your dog to race with you. Please do not bring your dog to the Marathon or Ultra.

Parking

Parking is free and will be open from 06:00.

Camping

Camping will be available at Talybont Farm Camping. The site is a 3-5 minute walk to the start / finish line. It is recommended to book through the local campsite website.

Age Requirements

Age requirements are as follows for the following distances:

Ultra: Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to participate
Marathon: Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to participate
Half Marathon: Entrants must be 15 years of age or older to participate
11k: Entrants must be 15 years of age or older to participate

Cupless event

Brecon Beacons Trail Challenge 2025 is a cupless event so all participants must bring their own form of the water carrier, whether that be a bottle, a cup or a camel pouch.

Canicross

The Brecon Beacons Trail Challenge is dog friendly so why not bring along your four-legged friend. Please note this is only the case for the Half Marathon and 11k. Do not bring dogs on the Marathon and Ultra courses.
