Do you like Gin? Do you like running? Will you run for 2 miles for Gin?This pretty much sums up the Tempo Run For Gin Relay. A fun social drinking/running event where you run and then you drink!Sound familiar? In fact that’s very similar to it’s sister race, The Run for Beer Relay. The only difference is the Run For Gin Relay takes place in Cheltenham and at the end you get to drink Gin. Whereas the Run For Beer Relay involved drinking Beer and takes place in Stratford-upon-Avon! It’s all very simple.The drinking bit involved every runner receiving a glass of gin courtesy of The Little Gin Company on completing their 2-mile leg and a licensed bar will be open all evening so you can continue to “hydrate” after your exertions. There are non-alcoholic options also available for those of you below 18 and T-totallers.

The running part involves completing a two-mile run each, in teams of 4 on a route around the beautiful Pittville Park in Cheltenham.

What's included
Registration will be open from 5:30pm where you can enter on the day (if the entry limit hasn’t been reached). Or if you have pre-entered (clicking on the Red Button) you can come and collect your Team’s race numbers and relay baton which contains your timing chip.
Team Captains may enter their team by completing the on-line entry form, click the ‘Enter now’ button. You may substitute runners in and out of the team in the time leading up to the race, just make sure we have the correct names the day before the race.
Minimum age limit is 11 years old.

The best option for parking is North Place Car Park (GL50 4JL) From there walk North up the Evesham Rd (A46 / A435) and turn left into Pittville Park which will be signed to the Start. The start and finish is on the West side of the park below the long thin lake.
Here you will collect your race numbers and your Team’s baton, its the baton which has the timing chip in it so you mustn’t lose it!
Event day logistics
Race Day:
We will normally aim to arrive at the venue two hours before race start time. We will set up the finish area first, erecting a shelter to work from, inflatable arch (if used) and timing equipment. Once this is complete we will go to your race registration to deal with any day entries or amendments. We can deal with approximately 120 day entries comfortably but if you have more we can make provision to process them.
Runners can be added at any point, even after they have finished, the advantage of a chip timing system is that the system stores times associated with the running number regardless of whether there is a name attached.
If the race start is at a different location to the finish, we will set this up and test all equipment 25 minutes before start time moving back to the finish once the runners have departed. Any further day entries or amendments can be added at any point.
