Route information
Maverick travel to Culden Faw Estate, Oxfordshire for the latest edition of their USE Lights Dark Series. Located in the heart of the Chiltern Hills, the estate is scythed in half by the River Thames.
All three routes deliver an incredible backdrop for this already unique event. Not only is the surrounding landscape a sight to behold, but there is also an abundance of local wildlife to keep your eye open for.
Given the darkness runners will have to focus on their footing throughout. The route itself will be made obvious with reflective markers.

The course just loses a star for the slightly lacking way finding for the short course. I also expected a little more lighting around the course. The fire pits were great as were the free samples.

A really well run and interesting event. The course was challenging in places, with steep climbs and technical descents in places. This gave it a wonderful adventure feel, especially in the dark. A great place to come and challenge yourself at the end of the year.

Simply awesome - will be making it an annual event. Just a shame there were no prizes for 2nd place.

I almost missed the first marker for the 7km run, many did. I think this would have to be more clearly marked.

Well organised and good atmosphere, I think it being at night contributes to that! Course was good, hills, woods, dark, was exciting. Course was reasonably well marked although at times doubted myself whether I’d taken a wrong turn in the dark!
