The Peaks Tour sportive takes riders on an adventure through the Peak District National Park. All three routes start at Bakewell Showground and head north through the National Park making their way to the Hope Valley.
In true Peak District fashion, there is plenty of both - short, savage as well as long, enduring climbs on all the routes. But don’t be discouraged, you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views at the top and long winding descents on the way down.
On the 100-mile Long route, you'll hit the high point at Whetstone Ridge, but with other climbs including Mam Tor, Gun and Sir William's Hill along the way, you'll feel all 2613m of ascent in your legs by the end.
Whilst this will certainly be a challenge, you won’t want to miss out on the chance to ride this event through the Peak District, which is set to be a glorious day of riding.
DIFFICULTY: 5/5
Bring your climbing gears as there are some real hills to negotiate, but the long sweeping descents off the top will give your legs a bit of a break.
