Join us for the Thorpe Park Sprint Triathlon on Sunday 15th August 2027!

Take on a unique multisport challenge at the Thorpe Park Sprint Triathlon, where you'll swim, bike and run around one of the UK's most exciting theme parks. With Sprint distances, this event is perfect for first-time triathletes looking to experience the sport, as well as experienced athletes chasing a fast and enjoyable race.

Your race begins with a 750m open-water swim in Fleet Lake, completing one buoy-marked lap with clear sighting points before heading out onto a flat 20K bike course. Finish with a 5K run on smooth, fast terrain, creating an ideal course for confident pacing and personal best attempts.

Every stage of the event is clearly marked and fully supported by experienced marshals, ensuring a safe and enjoyable race-day experience from start to finish. Whether you're completing your first triathlon or looking to improve your time, you'll enjoy fantastic organisation and a welcoming atmosphere throughout.

As an added bonus, every entry includes FREE admission to Thorpe Park Resort, giving you the perfect opportunity to celebrate your achievement with a day on the rides after crossing the finish line.

Route information

This is a unique chance to complete a swim, bike, run around the theme park and with ‘sprint’ distances, makes it the perfect event for beginners keen to try the triathlon format.

The swim is 1 x 750m lap of the buoy-marked course in Fleet Lake featuring 6 sighting buoys while the bike and run courses are 20km and 5km respectively, with both routes being very flat. Whether you’re a first-timer to this format or keen to shave some seconds off a personal best, this course is perfect.

Signing up to this event hosted by RunThrough you can expect that each discipline will be accurately marked out with distance flags and there will be plenty of marshals helping to keep you on track and cheer you all the way to the finish. Entry to this event also includes FREE entry into Thorpe Park Theme Park!

PARKING/TRAVEL

There will be parking available at the Thorpe Park car park that is within a 10 minutes walking distance of the event village. Allowed to park free until 13:00. £10 charge from 13:00 onwards.

CUT OFF

Please note there is a 09:30 cut off on this race due to venue restrictions.

LAPS

1x lap for swim, 1x lap for bike, 2x laps of the park after an out and back for the run.

MINIMUM AGES

BAGGAGE

We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach it to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.

Please note on arrival, security will check all bags and equipment before entering into the park. Please have it ready to show and move through quickly.

TOILETS

There will be toilets provided by the venue.

REFRESHMENTS

There will be water provided at the start of the run, and there will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal. Costa Coffee will be available inside the Dome for some hot drinks and light snacks.

RESULTS

Results will be available here immediately after the race.
