Two Castles Run route

The Run starts inside Warwick Castle, Warwick and finishes inside Kenilworth Castle, Kenilworth.

The majority of the course is over tarmac road surface.

It is a predominately flat course. There is an ascending incline as you leave Leek Wootton, which is the most significant hill on the course, followed by another, shallower incline as you approach Kenilworth.

The course will be traffic free. The roads along the route of the course will close to traffic at 8.50am. The roads will re-open to traffic, progressively, when it is safe to do so, as the field of runners passes over them.

Marshals will be stationed at all junctions and will indicate the route: you must obey their instructions.

Third time ruuning the 2 Castles. Lovely "undulating" course! Plenty of friendly support through the villages.

Superbly organised and a really well supported event . The local residence support in particular is amazing !! Loved it .. was my second year and hopefully not my last !

  • Did the Two Castles Run in 2019

The worst bag I’ve had in years. Big medal, small bottle of water, T-shirt and junk leaflets. Transport back took ages, waited an hour before 4 buses arrived together. Shame as the course is great.

The whole experience was amazing the organisation was spot on the crowd was fantastic and I loved the route, I love hills so it's perfect for me.
The best advice to anyone wanting to do it next year is to just enjoy the sights and atmosphere what could be better that starting in a beautiful castle like Warwick and ending in another great castle😊

Excellent organisation from start to finish. Great atmosphere. Marshall’s amazing and lots of them. Only recommendation happy to pay a bit extra for a technical T-shirt. Fantastic medal. Loved closed roads.
