Join us for the Warrington Running Festival on Sunday 20th September 2026

After the overwhelming success of the Warrington Running Festival in 2023 as the world’s first free to enter running festival, the RunThrough Foundation’s aim is to move around with the free event being available in different cities as the years go on.

The Warrington Running Festival in 2026 will continue to be a celebration of running and fitness and will only continue the legacy of the 2023 event which saw so many first-time and experienced runners alike come together for the world’s first event.

Hometown of RunThrough co-founder Ben Green, the Warrington Running Festival has always been an extremely important event for RunThrough and will continue to be one of our most important races in our busy calendar of events.

Join us for the return of the Warrington Running Festival. Run a Half Marathon, 10k, 5k or 1 mile fun run around Warrington Town Centre.

PARKING/TRAVEL

We recommend you use www.warrington.gov.uk/carparks to find a suitable parking spot. Please check the opening times of local car parks, as some may not be open on Sunday mornings.

Please note, parking restrictions will be in place on Crosfield Street, if planning to use street parking please park elsewhere.

CUT OFF

Please note there is a 3 hour cut off on the half marathon due to road closures in place.

BAGGAGE

We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.

TOILETS

There will be portable toilets in the event village, and approximately halfway along the half marathon course.

REFRESHMENTS

There will be three water stations at regular intervals on the half marathon, approximately halfway along the 10k course, and there will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal. Please note the 5k & fun run won’t pass a water station on the course.

RESULTS

Results will be available here immediately after the race.
