I really enjoyed this race, brilliant course, well marshalled and well organised. The atmosphere was brilliant and it was nice to see so much going on for spectators to get involved with. There were issues nothing is ever perfect 1. The start could have been done better- maybe having signs to clearly show where you should start if you’re going for a time. There was a lady with a microphone who attempted to line people up and it was hard to hear her to be honest. Signs would work much better and have done in the past. 2. At the end the way the goodies were given out was really unorganised. You’re tired you’ve just ran 13 miles you’re not going to be aware that all the volunteers had a different goody and to be honest they weren’t trying to hand anything offer. At the end of a race I want my goodies to be handed to me they know they all had something different I don’t. My point is it was easy to miss someone this was proven when I spoke to friends afterwards. Luckily I got my medal but it seemed that the volunteers didn’t know who to give what to. A bag is always easier to sort and it means not as many people are needed because for the most part they were just standing there. 3. The bag drop seemed chaotic, not well marshalled really. Usually they ask you for your number and give you your bag but it was free for all. Anyone could have taken any bag. Not to mention that they were moved by the time you finished so where you placed your bag which was in line with the letter of your name was not where the bag was left. For a lot of people this caused panic especially when there was no one really checking if you had the correct bag. Whilst these are minor and could be forgiven on a small event this has now been taken over by runthrough which is reflected in the new increasing of prices- the organisation should have been better. All in all a great day.

Great course which is undulating and yet fast! Lovely scenery throughout on closed roads! I’ll definitely come back again after this my second time!
