Kick off your summer with a spectacular coastal running experience at the Wirral Running Festival. Set along the scenic Ian Fraser Walk in New Brighton, this exciting event brings runners to a beautiful seafront course with fresh sea air, open promenade views and an uplifting race-day atmosphere.
With views across Liverpool Bay and a smooth, pace-friendly route along the promenade, this is a brilliant choice whether you’re chasing a new PB, taking on your first race, or enjoying a relaxed run by the coast.

Spectacular coastal running experience, set along the scenic Ian Fraser Walk in New Brighton. With Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K distances to choose from, this fast and flat seafront course is perfect for chasing a new PB or enjoying a relaxed run with unbeatable views across Liverpool Bay. The route follows the promenade, offering a refreshing sea breeze and a lively atmosphere that will inspire runners of all levels. Whether it’s your first ever race or your 100th, this exciting new event is the perfect way to kick off your summer.

Although there is no official race parking, there are plenty of car parks available around Marine Promenade and King’s Parade.
New Brighton station is a 10 minute walk from the event village.
Event day logistics
START TIMES
Half Marathon - 9:00 am
10k - 9:15 am
5k - 9:25 am
CUT OFF
Please get in touch if you expect to take longer than 3 hours to complete the half marathon, as we may need to make special arrangements.

BAGGAGE
We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach it to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.
TOILETS
There will be portable toilets in the event village, and approximately half way along the half marathon course.
REFRESHMENTS
There will be water provided approximately every 5km along the half marathon, and the halfway point of the 10k. There will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal. Please note the 5k won’t pass a water station on the course.
RESULTS
Results will be available here immediately after the race.
