19th Annual Bird Dog Breakaway October 3, 2026

Excitement is in the air for the 17th Annual Bird Dog Breakaway! A refreshing morning filled with energy awaits you on October 5th, from 8 AM to 2 PM. Get ready to lace up for a purpose, with a 5K run, a 2-mile walk, kids' dashes, and an inclusive Adaptive Run/Walk for our special CFNB families. This year, we’re leveling up with a brand-new course, an expanded Kidzone, and more vendor spaces—a vibrant community affair in partnership with the Burke Co. Recreation Dept and the Waynesboro YMCA.

Be the change as you dash through scenic routes starting at the YMCA and glide past local schools, with your participation funding vital renovations at the Waynesboro Clinic to assist children and adolescents with special needs. Remember, early birds catch the race tees—register by September 30th! Strollers, dogs on leashes, walkers—all are welcome here.
