Route information
This event promises a beautiful, fast and scenic course with an amazing supportive atmosphere.
Starting at the Philadelphia Museum of Art on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, the course is relatively flat and runs past several iconic landmarks such as Independence Hall, the Betsy Ross House and the Liberty Bell. Athletes also visit the Old City, on Penn's Landing, as well as running alongside the picturesque Schuylkill River out to Manayunk.
The highest elevation on the route is 148 feet.

Get full directionsBy Car
No on-street parking is permitted along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway from Saturday 20th November onwards. There are several paid lots and garages in the nearby area.
By Public Transport
The city is very walkable. Alternatively, checkout Philadelphia's transport system, SEPTA for information regarding the subway and bus network.

Gear Check
Gear check is provided free of charge on the southside of Eakins Oval. The event organiser is supplying clear bags to be used for gear check. You may supply you own bag but it must be clear. Make sure to write down the number of the gear truck you use on the back of your race number.
Water Stations
There will be 12 fluid stations along the route, supplying water, electrolyte drinks etc. There will also be 3 stations handing out CLIF BLOCKS energy chews.
Pace Team
The pace times for the Dietz & Watson Philadelphia Half Marathon are: 1:30, 1:45, 2:00, 2:15 and 2:30.
The pace times for the AACR Philadelphia Marathon are 3:00, 3:10, 3:20, 3:30, 3:40, 3:50, 4:00, 4:10, 4:20, 4:30, 4:45 and 5:00.
