Route information

GRAND TETON
Half Marathon
This course is one of our most scenic and possibly the prettiest! With stunning views of the Teton Range at the finish line, it’s a race you won’t want to miss. The race starts in Wilson, WY, at the Stilson Lot off Teton Pass Hwy (Hwy 22) and Beckley Park Way. Runners head west along Hwy 22 for just over a mile, then turn right onto 3rd Street and quickly right again onto Main Street. After crossing HHR Ranch Road, the course joins a flat, paved jogging trail. You’ll cross Moose Wilson Road and the Snake River via a pedestrian bridge, then head east along Hwy 22. At mile 6.25, the course turns left onto Spring Gulch Road, where it continues to the finish.
5K
This paved 5K course will start and finish at the Stilson Lot at the base of the Grand Tetons. The route follows a fast, flat loop through the surrounding pathway system, offering smooth footing and wide-open views of the Tetons throughout. Runners will enjoy a quick, accessible course with minimal elevation change, making it ideal for both seasoned racers chasing a PR and first-timers looking for a comfortable, scenic run.
YELLOWSTONE
Half Marathon
The first 3 miles loop through town and onto a scenic trail just outside of it. Consider it your warm-up lap. Miles 3–4: are smooth sailing as you head toward the hills. Mile 5 That’s when the challenge begins. You’ll cross a stunning bridge over the South Fork Madison River and enter the forest. Mile 6 is the toughest, about 200 feet of climbing through dense woods. There are bears in this area. You may carry bear spray for your protection. Mile 7 gets technical with rocky, weedy trails embrace your inner mountain goat. Mile 8 is a fast, wild downhill. Hang on and watch your step! Miles 9–10 are a mix of downhill and flat, with views that’ll make you forget you’re running. At mile 11, a sneaky little hill (only 40-50 feet) might feel massive, so dig deep. Then it’s smooth cruising: mile 12 to the finish is mostly flat or gently downhill.
5K
This beautiful course will give you a chance to work your legs out and enjoy a run with friends and family. The race starts near the intersection of Iris St and Yellowstone Ave (a short walk from the expo area). Runners will take an almost immediate left onto Yellowstone Ave and then run the first mile through town. Runners will then jump onto the forest service roads and run through the woods before returning to the finish line near the expo area.
