Half Marathon

The race steps off in uptown Highland Park, making its way through the beautiful tree lined streets of Highland Park’s neighborhoods. You’ll pass through Ravinia, tackle rolling hills, enjoy sweeping views of Lake Michigan and take in historic sites like Fort Sheridan, a former Army post from the 1800s, before heading back to your finish line and post-race festivities.

Whether you’re aiming for your first race or chasing a personal best, this route offers rolling hills and a memorable climb up Egandale Road between Park Ave and Vine Ave. It’s not flat—but it’s rewarding. You’ll wind through a beautiful neighborhood loop before crossing the finish line and celebrating at our post-race party with food, refreshments, and more!

Kids Dash

Open to kids ages 2–10, this fun-sized event is the perfect way to introduce young runners to race day excitement. With distances tailored to each age group, every child gets their moment to shine:

2–4 year olds: 50 yards
5–6 year olds: ¼ mile
7–10 year olds: ½ mile

The race kicks off at 10:45 AM, with lineup beginning at 10:30 AM. Staging takes place at the corner of Elm and St. Johns. For safety and smooth reunions, one parent or guardian may enter the finish chute with the “Parent Reunite” tab from their child’s race bib.
