30th Annual Run Wild for the Detroit Zoo

Get ready to unleash your wild side and sprint into action at Run Wild for the Detroit Zoo! This exhilarating event, backed by the Michigan First Credit Union, invites you to join the herd on Sunday, Sept. 8, either lacing up for a competitive 5K run or taking a leisurely pace with our family-friendly Fun Walk.

Remember to snag your race packets beforehand – pick them up in person at the Zoo on Sept. 6 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., or bright and early on race day from 6 a.m. If you'd rather receive it virtually, we can mail it for an additional fee. Don't forget, arrive extra early on race day to beat the traffic jam as 10 Mile Road will be closed. Just a heads up, zoo members will need to register for the event, and spectators wanting to cheer at the finish line inside the Zoo need to grab a Spectator admission. And a friendly reminder: for everyone's safety, keep bikes, skateboards, blades, skates, and pets at home, but feel free to bring strollers for the Fun Walk!
