Join us for the 4th annual Cupcake RUN! 5K Run/Walk Celebrating Girls, Friends and Families on Sunday, March 24th, 2019 at 8:00 am in Atlanta's scenic Piedmont Park!The Cupcake RUN! is a super-fun annual event in support of the development of healthy, happy girls. In addition to gathering girls together in the name of fun, fitness, family, friends and philanthropy, this event illuminates the impact of childhood obesity, for which African American girls and other girls of color are particularly at risk. The Cupcake RUN! is a celebratory event which aims to address barriers to obesity with a family and community approach to fitness that creates opportunities to exercise safely and consistently.

From USA Today's 10 Best: Piedmont Park is Atlanta's Central Park, or at least a mini version of it. Among all the skyscrapers in the Midtown area, this is a beautiful piece of green. There are paved trails that many like to come and roller blade on a weekend afternoon. There's even a dog park for fido. Besides the green space, there's a beautiful pond, a swimming pool, tennis and basketball are available too. People of all different types play at Piedmont Park, so everyone is welcome and no one is out of place.

Parking
Paid parking is available in the Piedmont Park parking deck, as well as the gravel Park Tavern lot. Some street parking is available, but obey all no-parking zones! Carpooling, Uber and MARTA are encouraged.
Bus
- The 40 Bus stops at Peachtree and 12th St, which is only about fifteen minutes' walk from the park.
- The 36 Bus stops at Virginia Ave @ Monroe Dr, which is about 10 minutes' walk
- The 809 Bus stops at Monroe Dr. @ Cooledge Ave, which is about 5 minutes' walk

Spectator Info
Since the majority of the race takes place inside the park (with only a portion out on the street), spectators may watch from many points within lovely Piedmont Park. The post race activities happen near The Meadow section of the park, near to the entrance at Charles Allen and 10th St.
