Monterey Bay Triathlon routes

The Monterey Triathlon has come back for it's second year running and has already been dubbed one of the best backdrops on the triathlon calendar. The stunning Monterey Bay is famous the world over for it's dramatic coastline and the convergence of ancient redwood forests with the deep blue Pacific ocean.

With duathlons, paddle boarding races, and traditional triathlons to choose from you are sure to find something you love.

Swim Course: Is a classic out-and-back swim in a sheltered bay by Lovers Point. With water temperatures between 59 - 63 degrees participants should expect to wear a wetsuit.

Bike Course: Follows either a 2-loop or a 4-loop course starting and finishing at Lover's Point, round the headland at Point Pinos Lighthouse Reservation down to Asilomar State Beach.

Run Course: Follows the Monterey Bay recreation trail east from Lovers Point to Monterey Aquarium and back.
