Did the race in 2019
This year I ran the Half, but I have run this race every year since it's inauguration. Of over 340 marathons and 227 half marathons, Red Rock is one of my favorite events. Calico racing does an amazing job and the course is as beautiful as it is challenging.

Race could have easily been cancelled due to snow and ice. Event organizers marched through it, modified the course and did the best they could. It was a once in a lifetime run in the Vegas desert with snow on the ground. No lie though the elevation gain is no joke. I'll be back for sure!

Joyce does a great job organizing and setting this up. Mother nature had her own ideas for race day which is the only reason the course and organization are not 5 stars! Beautiful landscape with rewarding elevation. Highly recommended and will travel in for it again! As an aside, we stayed at the Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa which was a 1.3 mile walk/jog to one of the pick-ups. Highly rated hotel, area was nice, and it was a nice distance for a warm up jog and cool down walk away for race day!

Perfect organization. Good vibes, nice wheather. Great day! The Red Rock Half is one of the bests races id ever ran.
