You know Thanksgiving is right around the corner when you cross the finish line of the Run to Stay Warm. For more than a decade, runners of all ages have been gathering on the Sunday before Thanksgiving to run a Half Marathon, 10K, or 5K on Eugene’s beautiful river paths, all while raising money to benefit EWEB’s Customer Care Program. With a flat course, great swag, a fun after-party, and an incredible cause, circle November on your calendar and get ready to Run to Stay Warm!

Route information

The 2026 Run to Stay Warm races start and finish at Eugene's new Downtown Riverfront Park! Half Marathon, 10K and 5K courses will be familiar to returning runners, and will take participants on a gorgeous tour of the Ruth Bascom Riverbank Path along the Willamette River.

Bring the kiddos for a FREE 400ish meter dash. The dash begins at 8:30 am and starts from the same start line as the other distances. The course is a straight "out and back" along the river path.

Courses are professionally measured and marked at each mile. Water and Gatorade are provided at each aid station. In addition GU is provided at the final three aid stations of the half marathon. Strawberry, vanilla and chocolate flavors are at all three stations (strawberry is caffeine-free; vanilla and chocolate both have 40mg of caffeine).

Eugene, Cascades & Coast is an excellent resource for guests coming from out of town.

What parking and alternative transportation options are available?

City of Eugene street parking is free on Sundays and the lots at City Hall and across the DeFazio bridge at Alton Baker Park are also great options, or you can utilize alternative transportation:

Bike - There are bike racks located at locations around and near Downtown Riverfront Park.

Bus - Plan your ride with LTD. Routes are available that drop passengers on the East side of High Street, just west of 4th.
