Massive events so lots of happy supporters and things going on around the race. Really smooth organisation, no problems at all despite the huge amount of people. Nice a flat course, so perfect for an amazing time!

Did the race in 2020
The course is great passing some iconic features and buildings. The London crowd are absolutely brilliant, really worth doing just for that. The big-big let downs were the start and finish. The start was marred by being kept in start pens for over an hour, not good when temperatures are struggling to get above 5c, and the finish was the worst of any event I have ever run in. You are channelled, penned, into being part of a slow moving snake that leaves the cut Sark finish line, winds it's way through Greenwich, slowly picking up medal, tee shirt, bags, recovery stuff on the way. It took almost as long to complete the finish pen as it it did to run the race itself! Never again.
