Route information

The course at Inverleith Park is a 2.5K loop set within one of Edinburgh’s most popular green spaces, with clear signage and marshals in place to guide runners throughout. The start and finish line are located at the same point. Participants will complete laps based on their chosen distance—5K runners will complete two laps, while 10K runners will complete four laps. Full course details will be shared in the pre-race email, along with a race day briefing to ensure all runners feel confident and familiar with the route before setting off.

Get full directions

Bus Travel:

For the East Side (Inverleith Row / Botanic Gardens East Gate): Catch the 8, 9, 23, or 27 bus from the city centre. Alight at the Royal Botanic Garden or Inverleith Terrace stops.

For the West Side (Arboretum Place / Botanic Gardens West Gate): Catch the 24 or 29 bus via Stockbridge. Alight directly outside the park on Arboretum Place.

Train Travel:

From Edinburgh Waverley: Walk about 2 to 3 minutes up to Hanover Street or Princes Street, then board any of the bus lines mentioned above (Routes 8, 9, 23, 24, 27, or 29). The bus journey takes roughly 10 minutes.

From Haymarket Station: You can take the 22 bus directly to the nearby Comely Bank / Stockbridge area or jump on an Edinburgh Tram to Princes Street to transfer to the park-bound buses.
