Join us at Pollok Park for a unique evening of running through one of Scotland’s most beautiful green spaces. Choose from a 5K or 10K and enjoy winding woodland paths, open parkland, and the stunning surroundings that make Pollok Park one of the country’s favourite places to run.

Route information

The Pollok Park course takes runners through the heart of Glasgow’s largest park, combining scenic woodland paths, open parkland and gentle rolling inclines to create a varied and enjoyable route.

The 5K consists of one full loop of the park, while the 10K completes two laps. Although there are a few gentle climbs along the way, the course is runnable throughout and offers a great balance of challenge and flowing sections, making it enjoyable for both first-time runners and experienced racers.

The route is fully marked with kilometre markers, directional arrows and friendly marshals to guide you from start to finish. Runners taking on the 10K will be responsible for keeping track of their lap count as they complete the second circuit of the course.

Race Start Times

- 7:00pm - 10K Race Start

- 7:00pm - 5K Race Start

Bag Drop

A free bag drop will be available within the event village. Please keep personal belongings to a minimum where possible. The bag drop will open from 5:30pm and remain available until all participants have finished.

Toilets

Portable toilets will be located within the event village, just a short walk from the start and finish area.

Water Station

A water station will be available approximately halfway around the course. 5K runners will pass this once, while 10K runners will pass it twice.

Finish Line

After crossing the finish line, please continue moving through the finish area to help keep the course clear for other runners. Collect your finisher’s medal, post-race goodies and take a moment to enjoy the Friday night atmosphere with fellow participants.

Race Photography

Our photographers will be positioned around the course and at the finish line to capture your race-day memories. Photos will be uploaded to the Up and Running Events Facebook page in the days following the event.
