Route information
This undulating, multi-terrain course takes place within and around the stunning Denbies Wine Estate. All routes offer beautiful views over the Mole Valley, Ranmore Common, and the North Downs, and runners are welcome to run as quickly as possible or take their time and enjoy the wine sampling stations on the route.
The drinks stations are what separates this event from all the others. Not just any old drinks stations, the last 2 along the route serve wine as well as food and soft drinks. After the race, enjoy the hog roast where the party carries on well into the evening.
A completely traffic-free course, all routes start and finish by the main building at Denbies, and there's only one crossing of a major road which will be directed by marshals.

Great to do as a group in fancy dress and take your time stopping for wine and food. Definitely not a PB course but the most fun event I've done.

Did the Half Marathon in 2019
The course was very challenging if you were racing the event (only about 10% of participants were). Atmosphere was good, though I would not say it was any better than another similar sized race, in fact the "festival atmosphere" was comparable to any well organised event, and not as good as some of the very best. The bands on course were good, as was the scenery, though the Surrey hills are less spectacular than even some of our local (and often free) XC scenery here in Hampshire (or in my home of Yorkshire). The course was genuinely difficult, and at least some competitive runners took part. Though it was frustarting to see a runner who registered for the Half Marathon, but ran the 10k course, given first position in the HM. I emailed the results company, but they did not respond or adjust the results. This is a good race, but it is not amazing, and represents poor value at £50 entry fee.

Great fun and a wonderful atmosphere. Lots of really great fancy dress. The weather was also perfect.

Brilliant - hilly and boozy with bands at all the (de)hydration stops - loved it! Take your trail shoes though!
