This is more than just another race.
For the first time ever, runners will have the chance to experience Scotland’s National Stadium in a way that’s never been possible before. Whether you’re taking on your very first 5K, chasing a personal best, or sharing the day with family and friends, this is your opportunity to become part of sporting history.
Set within the iconic grounds of Hampden Park, the event features a fast, spectator-friendly loop around the stadiums grounds before an unforgettable finish inside the famous arena itself. The moment you leave the final bend and run into the stadium, crossing the same finish line that has welcomed some of the greatest moments in Scottish sport, is something you’ll remember forever.
But this day is about much more than the race.
It’s about children crossing their very first finish line. Parents cheering from the stands. Friends celebrating together. Families making memories that last long after the medals have been handed out.
More than a race, this is a day for the whole family. Alongside the running, there’ll be kids’ races, and event village and a brilliant atmosphere from start to finish. Whether you’re running, supporting or simply soaking it all in, there’s something for everyone.

Route information
The Hampden Park course has been designed to make the most of the vast footprint surrounding Scotland’s National Stadium, creating a fast, exciting and spectator-friendly race-day experience.
The route follows a 2.5km loop around the stadium precinct, utilising the wide roads and pathways that surround Hampden Park before leading runners towards an unforgettable stadium finish.
The 5km completes two laps of the course, the 10km covers four laps and the kids race 1 lap
The highlight comes at the finish. After your final lap, you’ll enter Hampden Park itself and run inside Scotland’s National Stadium before crossing the finish line in front of family, friends and fellow runners. It’s a finish unlike any other and an experience usually reserved for the country’s biggest sporting occasions.
With wide running surfaces, minimal elevation and excellent spectator viewing throughout, the course is ideal for first-time runners, seasoned racers and anyone looking to be part of a truly unique race-day experience.

Your entry includes everything you need for a great day at Hampden Park.
Before race day, you’ll receive detailed event information, including start times, travel advice, parking details, course maps and everything you need to arrive prepared.
On the day, you’ll enjoy a professionally organised, chip-timed event with friendly marshals, clear kilometre markers, medical support and a welcoming atmosphere for runners of all abilities.
Every finisher will receive an exclusive event medal, free race photography and post-race goodies. The event also includes a stadium finish inside Hampden Park, giving every runner the chance to cross the line inside Scotland’s National Stadium.

Hampden Park is easily accessible by both public transport and car, making it straightforward for runners and spectators travelling from across Scotland.
Mount Florida Railway Station is just a short walk from the stadium and provides regular direct services from Glasgow Central, making it one of the easiest ways to travel to the event.
Please note that there will be no participant parking available within the grounds of Hampden Park. If you’re travelling by car, there are a number of public car parks and on-street parking options in the surrounding area. Full parking information and travel advice will be sent to all participants before race day.
We recommend allowing plenty of time for your journey to ensure you arrive relaxed and ready to enjoy the day.

Bag Drop
A free bag drop will be available within the event village from 8:30am. Please keep personal belongings to a minimum where possible. The bag drop will remain open until all participants have finished.
Toilets
Toilets will be available within the event village, just a short walk from the start and finish area.
Finish Line
After crossing the finish line inside Hampden Park, please continue moving through the finish area to help keep the course clear for fellow runners. Collect your finisher medal, post-race goodies and take time to enjoy the event village.
Race Photography
Our photographers will be positioned around the course and inside the stadium to capture your race-day memories. Photos will be uploaded to the Up and Running Events Facebook page in the days following the event. We’d also love to see your own photos, so don’t forget to tag @upandrunningevents and use #upandrunningevents on social media.
