Route information

This lapped route takes runners around the edge of Battersea Park's beautiful Boating Lake. Running alongside this lake under the moonlight makes this running experience even more special.

The paths are wide and flat, giving plenty of space for the runners, making this a stress-free experience.

Course marshals will help guide runners throughout the race and distances will be clearly marked.

Battersea Park Railway Station is a 10 minute walk away from the Bandstand and has frequent services from Victoria.

By Bus

Bus services run frequently from Vauxhall Railway Station to Battersea Park and is served by a number of bus routes. Address: Battersea Park Bandstand, SW11 4NJ

There is a paid car park open to the public.

Event day logistics

09:30 Half Marathon starts

*Please arrive at least 45-60 minutes before the start of the race to allow plenty of time to collect your race pack, attach your race number, drop any bags you may have, and warm up.

Registration

The event village and registration will be located next to the Battersea Park Bandstand.

Please ensure you arrive in plenty of time in order to complete the registration process.

Race Pack

Race Packs must be collected on the day of the event, before the start of your race, from registration. Please be aware that you will not receive anything in the post.

Age Requirements

You must be at least 17 and older to compete in this event.

Bag Drop

There will be a secure area where bags can be left, though it is recommended that you bring as little baggage as possible. Your bag tag is attached to your race number which you can tear off and attach to your bag.

Refreshments

There will be water stations at the 5k point of the race and at the finish where flapjacks and bananas will be waiting for finishers.

Toilets

There are 2 public toilets in Battersea Park which you'll be able to use. Please note that they are about a 5 minute walk from the start area and event village.

Headphones

It is not recommended that you wear headphones during the race so you stay alert to what is going on around you and hear the encouragement from marshals and spectators. There will also be pedestrians on the paths you'll be running who you'll need to be aware of.

It's a good 'starter' half marathon, but if you're clocking downwards of 1:30 I imagine it's quite a pain as congestion means that you'll never have a 'line' after lap 1. The organisers manage it well where they can, but although it's flat, I wouldn't chase a time here. A good community run.

I have to be honest and say that I was disappointed with the event. The course was pretty boring having to do so many loops making it repetitive and there was hardly any atmosphere other than someone on the microphone at the finish line. I saw a runner getting knocked over by a rollerblader, so the lack of separation from the general public wasn’t good enough. All in, not sure what we paid for other than a medal.

Fast course, liked it. A bit narrow at drink station, so dificult for «fastrunners» to reach wather on the lett side.
