About
One of our favourite courses in Glasgow, right in the heart of the Southside.
Join us at Bellahouston Park for a 5K, 10K or Half Marathon around one of Glasgow’s best-known parks and a course that has become a firm favourite on the Up and Running Events calendar.
Set in the heart of Glasgow’s Southside, Bellahouston Park offers a fantastic mix of wide, smooth paths, open green spaces and gentle rolling sections. With a 5km loop taking runners around the park, it’s a brilliant setting for everything from a first 5K to a Half Marathon.
There’s plenty to enjoy along the way, with long, flowing stretches where you can settle into your pace, a few gentle inclines to keep things interesting and great views across the park throughout.
Bellahouston is always one of our favourite events to organise. The course, the atmosphere and the support from runners and spectators make it a brilliant place to spend a morning, whether you’re chasing a personal best, stepping up to a new distance or simply enjoying a run with friends.
As always, expect chip timing, friendly marshals, free race photography, a bespoke finisher medal, post-race goodies and the welcoming atmosphere that comes with every Up and Running Events race day.
Three distances, one of Glasgow’s best running locations and a great day of running in the Southside.

Route information
The Bellahouston Park course follows a 5km loop through one of Glasgow’s best running locations, combining wide, smooth paths, open parkland and gentle rolling terrain.
Starting on the north side of the park, beside the House for an Art Lover, the route takes runners around Bellahouston Park, making the most of its long, flowing paths and varied surroundings.
The course features plenty of flat, fast sections where runners can settle into their pace, alongside a few gentle inclines to add some variety. With wide paths and long, uninterrupted stretches, it’s a great route for runners looking to chase a personal best or take on a new distance.
The 5K completes one lap, while the 10K completes two laps. The Half Marathon completes four laps plus a short additional section to make up the full 21.1km distance.
The course will be fully marked with kilometre markers, directional arrows and friendly marshals throughout.
Runners completing multiple laps will be responsible for keeping track of their own lap count.
