Route information

Celebrate spring at the Birmingham Running Festival on Sunday 5th April 2026, in support of Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Held at the iconic Sutton Park, this event features a Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and Junior race with chip-timed results and a post-race celebration.
Whether you’re training for a bigger goal or looking for a great day out, this scenic course through the 2,400-acre National Nature Reserve is the perfect place to run.

PARKING/TRAVEL
There is race specific parking available around the Visitors Centre in addition to all of the Park’s usual car parks.

Event day logistics

09:00 am - Half Marathon
09:45 am - 10k
09:55 am - 5k
11:30 am - Junior Race
12:00 pm - Race End

Half Marathon - 17 years and above
10k - 15 years and above
5k - 11 years and above

BAGGAGE
We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach it to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.
TOILETS
Portaloos in the event village.
REFRESHMENTS
There will be water provided on each lap of the course and there will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal.
There will be no water station for the 5k race.
RESULTS
Results will be available here immediately after the race.
PICTURES
We will have an official photographer at the event, please check out our photos page after the race.
