Route information
This course along the River Stour is a beautiful race and one of the most scenic runs around. The route will be traffic free and totally flat, making it a great opportunity for experienced runners to post a fast time, or a chance for beginner runners to take on their first 10k.
The race begins from the HQ in Chartham with a lap of the playing field to spread the 400 runners out. You will then take to the River Stour pathway which winds its way alongside the water all the way to 'Toddlers Cove'. Runners will then turn and head back along the same path towards the finish.

The course was great and the marshals were lovely. I wonder if the pictures the photographer took are accessible?

Lovely scenic run only spoilt by the very muddy course, would be a nice run to do in the summer

We enjoyed the Canterbury Riverside 10k. I ran with my wife and, although she runs regularly to keep fit, it was her first race for many years. We both enjoyed it, the course was good, well marshalled and well signposted but a little muddy in places because of recent rainfall, and the atmosphere was very good. It felt a little more relaxed than some other races, but probably wasn’t at the “business end”. We would recommend the Canterbury Riverside 10k.

I enjoyed the event, the route is good and we had a bit of puddle jumping at times this year! Good organisation and the volunteers were all helpful and kind.

On wet days ypu might prefer trail trainers as the route can get muddy. Simple out and back that is impossible to get lost on.
